Maria has made notable contributions in the fast-paced technology sector at two industry giants. She started at Tesla, handling Logistics Procurement across borders and managing substantial annual expenditures as the team's youngest member. Then, at Apple, she was part of the Semiconductor Procurement team, playing her role in maintaining the company's unparalleled supply chain. Wishing to bring her tech experience to Latin America, Maria moved to Backbone Systems, a promising tech startup in Mexico City. As Chief of Staff, she contributed significantly to the company's growth and success with her strategic insight and product development skills. Besides work, Maria enjoys traveling and food, with over 69 countries on her passport, each journey has helped shape her worldview.

As the Head of Product for Siclo, Latin America's preeminent fitness and wellness startup, she was pivotal in introducing the region's inaugural connected bike. This innovation disrupted the fitness industry and mirrored her holistic approach to empowerment.
Her intrinsic connection to Latin America has led her to invest within the region, an endeavor she perceives as a unique avenue to uplift her community and mission.

José Luis is a writer who currently serves as Nido’s EiR: Escritor in Residence. At Nido, he works on making the best content possible for founders, investors, or anyone interested in entrepreneurship.
Besides his work at Nido, he is also de Special Projects and Content Lead at Auba, an AI startup revolutionizing logistics in North America.
Before Nido, he has written for El País, the Miami Herald, Eje Central. Most of his research focuses on Mexican politics and history, with particular interest in Mexico’s cultural tradition. Currently, he is a columnist at El Sol de México, Excélsior, and Nexos.

Martin Mexia is a Venture Partner at Nido.
He is currently showcasing his fintech prowess at Revolut. Before this move, he was a driving force at Rappi, playing an instrumental role as the Head of Product. His journey in the fintech realm started with a visionary venture in 2016 -the creation of Payit.mx, a groundbreaking platform that tapped into blockchain technology to revolutionize payments and collections. After an impressive three-year run, Rappi saw the potential and integrated Payit.mx into its fold, leading to Martin's significant contribution to shaping RappiPay.
During his tenure at Rappi, he delved deep into payments, payment infrastructure, fraud prevention, and the nuances of the Mexican Fintech Law. Martin's expertise has been a beacon in each role, guiding teams and strategies toward success.

Javier de la Madrid is a Venture Partner at Nido.
He began his career in investment banking, where he developed expertise in industries such as infrastructure, real estate, retail, health care, and fintech. Today, he is the Chief Digital Officer of GBM, Mexico's leading investment platform with over five million accounts. In this role, he oversees strategic direction and operations.

Renato is a Venture Partner at Nido and a true believer in the key role that innovation plays as a catalyst of social development in Latam.He started his career in consulting, mainly focusing in the residential and hospitality industry. Today, Renato is Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Urbvan, a mass mobility company focused in Latam that was recently acquired by Swvl Holdings Corp, a public global mobility company. Additionally, he is actively supporting entrepreneurs and traditional companies as an advisor.Outside of the entrepreneurial ecosystem he likes to connect with nature, doing mountain biking or hikes and playing paddle tennis.
